The AALS Section on Professional Responsibility invites papers for its 2013 Annual Meeting program, “New Developments in Attorney-Client Privilege.” The topic is more current than ever, with changes in criminal law, evidence, and technology rapidly altering the landscape. Papers should explore a subject related to those changes and/or abiding values that the privilege serves. The ABA’s Journal of the Professional Lawyer will publish the two papers chosen by the Professional Responsibility Section’s Program Committee, and the authors will present their papers as part of the Section Program in New Orleans on January 4-7, 2013. This invitation is open to all full-time faculty members at AALS member and fee-paid schools; in particular, the Section welcomes entries from members of the Evidence and Criminal Law sections. Entries, which should be approximately 20-30 double-spaced pages in length, should be submitted by August 31, 2012 to section chair Peter Margulies of Roger Williams University School of Law, pmargulies@rwu.edu.
