I was forwarded this news story from Wired, which suggests that everything that is dictated on Siri gets sent to a computer in North Carolina. Assuming that's true, does that fact by itself raise a confidentiaility issue? Or do we need to know what happens to the data and how it's used before we conclude that there's a problem? I believe that similar issues were raised regarding Google Docs and my sense was that one needed to understand the details before drawing conclusions.
and how does it get from the device to the Internet and then along the Internet?
