Lots of incredible presentations about the future of legal services came out of LawTechCamp London last week (the capstone to the Michgan State/Westminster 21st Century Law Practice Summer Program), and the conversation continues...
The Legal Informatics Blog complied a comprehensive resources list of everything from tweets to reviews here. Highlights include:
- “In 17 years as a legal journalist, I have attended a lot of conferences. An awful lot of conferences. … I cannot remember the last time there was such palpable excitement in the air at an event.” Neil Rose, Editor, Legal Futures, The Next Big Thing, 7/3/12
- “a program chock full of substance on the application of technology to the law” Bill Henderson, Editor, The Legal Whiteboard, 6/29/12
- Joanna Goodman called the event "genuinely different from other legal technology events. It was different from the ones that pop up every year. It was different from the biggest and most profitable ones. It was different from the ones that claim to predict the future. It was the UK’s first legal ‘Unconference’ and everyone is talking about it." Unconference! Beat poetry and quantitative analysis--we are all futurists now

We are looking forward to creating an even more spectacular event in 2013 under our new name, ReInvent Law London. In the meantime, plans are already underway for ReInvent Law Dubai, tentatively scheduled for December 10, 2012, at Knowledge Village, as part of Michigan State Law's LLM Program. These ReInvent Law (un)conferences will continue to be free-of-charge and anyone can propose a topic--hope you will join us!
