A while ago, I rounded up some reactions to the movie and I wanted to briefly post now that I've seen the picture. Not surprisingly, Tony Kushner's script does a great job of capturing Lincoln's skill at lawyering. I give it a big thumbs up. (I would recommend the "ethical biography" of Lincoln by William Lee Miller, but the otherwise thoughtful book ignore how Lincoln's lawyering shaped his ethics and instead fixates on Lincoln's political career.)
