A reader tipped me off that Appellate Law & Practice has this account of the reversal of sanctions against famed attorney Barry Scheck. The trial judge apparently didn't like Scheck's insinuations, but the appellate court felt that the normal tensions in trial work don't necessarily amount to improper conduct. Cardozo Law's website says that, "In addition to the work he has done through Cardozo's Innocence Project, which has represented dozens of men who were exonerated through post-conviction DNA testing, Scheck has represented such notable clients as Hedda Nussbaum, O. J. Simpson, Louise Woodward, and Abner Louima."
