Here's an even-handed NPR interview about law schools with a religious focus.    . . . .     Why didn't we see this coming?  How about a reality TV show with associates writing briefs and making arguments, and at the end of each episode famed criminal defense attorney Roy Black fires one of the associates?    . . . .     There is continued fall-out from the guilty plea of Missouri Judge Deborah Neal, whose gambling and other problems led her to solicit loans from lawyers appearing before her.  Now the lawyers who made those loans are under criminal and disciplinary investigation.    . . . .     An Alabama judge has denied a request that he recuse himself from presiding over a trial for the murder of two police officers.  Limestone County Circuit Judge Bob Baker had attended the funerals and offered condolences to the widows.  The "appearance of impropriety" standard governs.  The defendant's lawyer will appeal.
