Over at Balkinization, Brian Tamanaha tallies up the "winners" and "losers" in the trend toward increasing stratification and debt in the law school and law firm settings. At the end of the post, Tamanaha asks if there isn't a "different model" for lower tiered schools. We've already discussed it here. We could add a second route to the profession -- undergraduate studies as a route to the profession. Apparently, Russell Pearce is writing up an article along those lines and when it comes out we'll see if we can't discuss it here.
