Here is an update on the Hood case. You may recall that Hood is facing execution next month even though there is substantial evidence that the prosecutor in the case was secretly sleeping with the judge at the time of trial. Hood's lawyers are now trying to force the former prosecutor and judge to discuss their previous relationship though discovery in a civil suit. The execution is scheduled for September 10, so this matter is likely to generate more news in the next few weeks.
