We mentioned the case briefly, but Vorhees' New Jersey Legal Malpractice Blog has a full discussion. The interesting wrinkle is that a party's expression of satisfaction with a settlement in the underlying case -- routinely sought in NJ divorce cases -- can serve to snuff out subsequent malpractice cases by the party against the lawyer who helped reach that settlement. Does that create a systemic conflict for matrimonial lawyers?
