- Atlanta Journal-Constitution: the State Bar of Georgia president bemoans the way that lawyers get slammed during popular elections, in an op-ed titled, "Again, it's open season on lawyers."
- Renee's been blogging about the SCOTUS decisions on the law of lawyering, but I thought I'd mention this Slate article giving the back story on the case heard today, about whether an unjustly convicted man can sue the prosecutors. From the news accounts, it sounds as if the claim against the prosecutor is likely to be tossed out. [edited] Oh, but wait, Tony Mauro predicts that the innocent man will recover.
- I missed this about a month ago: American Lawyer announced its 2010 roster of Lifetime Achievers.
- Law Society Gazette: In the UK, the Justice Secretary warned that perhaps as many as 3,000 high street firms will disappear once alternate business structures (ABS) take off there.
