You can read her latest letter here. I have taught at schools from one in the top 15 or so to one near the bottom (an evaluation that, of course, turns on USN), and at some in between. At each of them, I wondered about many things, including why law school is three years long, why it is so expensive, and why we have so many lawyers pursuing so few jobs that make the cost worth the benefit. Maybe the answer to all of these is the same: because it makes law schools money?
