I've only now started to come up to speed on the reversal of the Danziger Bridge convictions, about which Steve has posted. Readers have been sending me links, articles, etc. Long piece of ProPublica.
More news is pouring in, and it's been noted that a current dean at Tulane was the US Attorney at the time, was aware of the pseudonymous blogging by the subordinate prosecutors, and according to the judge's opinion did not intervene. As we know, MR 5.1 does require interdiction, prevention, etc., by supervisors who learn of wrong-doing. It will be interesting to see if the bar or the local federal court disciplinary committee takes action against a sitting dean of a law school.
