News at Patently-O. SCOTUS unanimously reversed the Federal Circuit, holding that district courts have discretion in awarding attorneys fees and that the appellate review should give deference to the trial court. New opinions here and here. Seems like the high court believes it needs to tighten the reins on the Federal Circuit.
