I received this very happy news yesterday from my colleague, Susan Fortney:
Congratulations to our friend and ethics guru Professor Bruce Green on his selection as the recipient of the 2018 Michael Franck Professional Responsibility Award. Bruce serves as the Louis Stein Chair of Law and Director of the Louis Stein Center for Law and Ethics at Fordham University School of Law in New York. For more information on Bruce’s selection, see the following piece. As noted by Fordham Dean Matthew Diller, Bruce is a “leader in the field with the deep respect of this peers.” Bruce has inspired and assisted countless colleagues both in the academy and practicing bar.
The Center for Professional Responsibility created the Michael Franck Award for Professional Responsibility to acknowledge "individuals whose contributions in the area of lawyers' professional responsibility set an example of insight into the demands of legal professionalism, dedication to the highest level of ethical conduct, and a vision of constant improvement of lawyer regulation in the public interest." Without doubt, Bruce is the ideal recipient of the award!
